Excellent bread and yummy sweet and savory baked goods. They also have a good variety of meats, cheeses eggs as well as things like jams. Basically if you forgot you were having company for breakfast you could come here and get everything you needed. The staff is friendly and helpful and Jen makes it a point of stopping to chat if she’s not in the middle of something. You can order breads in advance which I often do as my favorites frequently sell out before I can get there. In short, amazing local bakery. Highly recommend!

If you've ever driven by this place in the dead of a Rochester winter with people lined up out the door and wondered to yourself "is that place really worth it?", the answer is yes. I'm not sure I've ever been to a better bakery anywhere. Their savory breakfast creations are super creative and unreasonably delicious. The sweet treats like cookies and cakes are also amazing and interesting. They have loaves of bread to take home and I've never been disappointed when I do. They're are also some mostly locally sourced gourmet pantry, fridge, and freezer options. Things like cube beans, black garlic puree, jams, cheese, and meats. It's not a cheap place, but it's not outrageously expensive either. Very much you get what you paid for. Never had something from Jen's and thought it was overpriced.

I love jens! I'm addicted to everything I get here. You can honestly taste and see the passion in the food. Sincerely. I'll give it to my wife, one of the best finds ever. I have to have the pain de campagne or sesame italian sourdough every single morning, and I've found no better than jens. The maple sourdough cinnamon buns are me and my wife's favorite. At least once a month we order a pack of 4. I can go on and on with the other items I get but I believe I've expressed it enough. Just try it! I love this place so much! Thank you Jen! Update 01/24/2026: Jen, these sticky buns.. wow. These sticky buns, Jen. Wow. This needs to be a permanent item.

Great local artisan bread company. Lots of artisan bread options and sweets. We went with a muffin and a breakfast focaccia bread and some cookies and a baguette to go . They have some seats inside and outside tables. Get here early the bread goes extremely fast

I’m so excited I found @jensArtisan bread! It’s quickly becoming my new go-to local bakery. The bread is some of the best I’ve found in Rochester with a deep golden-brown crust that’s just the right amount of crispy and chewy along with a soft crumb and the sourdough has a great tang to it. As a millennial, I’m contractually obligated to eat avocado toast on a regular basis. I have to say, jensArtisan bread does not disappoint! It makes for some superb avocado toast. Just top it up with a dollop of chili crisp and some feta cheese and you’re good to go. 😋 Besides bread, it’s a great neighborhood store with a well-curated selection of locally-made groceries and food goods such as cheeses, meats, coffee, jams and more. Definitely check them out - you will not be disappointed!
